| The wind was blowing very hard. Some of the gusts of wind were 70 miles per hour. I went to the Cal State Fullerton Arboretum to get out of the wind. |

| The sun dappled plants and the light contrast between the path and plants in shadow were interesting to me. |

| I blocked in all of the basic elements in the composition and then worked at establishing the value areas within the composition. |
