This pastel painting is done on velour paper and measures 27.5"x19.75". This painting was done from a trip to the Canyon in the winter. The colors were muted and less intense and snow was still on the north facing canyon walls.

Desert Plains I

This pastel painting measures 19.75"x27.5" and is done on velour paper. I started a series of tree paintings this winter where I was only capturing parts of the trees. They were all done early in the morning when the bark seemed to be glowing.

Riverside Path

This pastel measures 27.5"x19.75" and is done on velour paper. On a picture taking hike through abandoned orange groves on the border of Riverside County I came upon this path. The sun had been beating down on me for 3 hours or so and the shade was welcome.
