Crescent Bay

The bright orange board presents some challenges.  I use the board to dictate the color scheme to a certain extent.  At the end of the painting some parts of the painting will leave the color of the under painting exposed.  The challenge is how much of the under painting is exposed and where is it left to be seen.  As you can see the dramatic nature of the orange requires attention.  

In the final result there is just a hint of orange visible.  There is a orange aspect to the cliffs.
