| This painting is different than what I normally do. I just finished reading "The Art of Landscape Painting" by Paul Strisik a couple of weeks ago. Paul spoke at length about unresolved problems and unsatisfying plein air results. His solution was to rework his plein air paintings in the studio after a couple of weeks. This painting is the first that I worked both as both a plein air and studio painting. I did the drawing and the water color under painting en plein air and finalized it with soft pastels in the studio. |
