This pastel painting is done with soft pastels on pastel card. It measures 22"x29". This was one of those amazing clear days that I seem to be drawn to when painting. This location is by some of my favorite subjects to paint. What really brought me to paint this scene was the crystal clear sky with those dramatic clouds and the contrast to the washed out field.This scene is from a hike I took this past January.
