Painting From The Heart

What is painting from the heart?  What exactly does that mean? As an artist, I am always painting with my emotions attached to the subject, process, effort, and vision of the painting.  I wonder what my paintings would look like if I did not care or try my best.  To me painting is about expression.  What is painting without expression?  I am not sure how emotions come through my painting, but I am sure I am putting them into the painting.  Doesn't every artist paint from the heart?  Is this just more artist double speak?  I guess there is a school of detached, analytical approach to painting.
