Crescent Bay

This pastel painting is done on Colorfix paper with soft pastels and measures 12"x16". This is one of my favorite beaches. The waves have perfect form, the water is crystal clear, and the views are great.

This pastel painting is done on Colorfix sanded paper with soft pastels and measures 12"x16". The shadows and highlights created by the tires and the sand inspired me. I tried to use the tire tracks like you would use a meandering stream to take you through the composition.

Moss Cove

This pastel painting is done on Sennelier pastel card with soft pastels and measures 16"x12". The cove is hidden in downtown Laguna Beach. The strip of beach is maybe 80 feet long. The rocks sheltering the cove are dramatic.
